Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Maya/Zb3 Creature

Hey All

been busy sorting my portfolio out, as Im in need of a new job, Im on the market so to speak.

Im busy with detailing on this creature right now in Zb. Once the sculpt is done I'll paint it in Zb as well for the textures and also extract the normal map out too. Im looking at possibly getting into the game sector, hopefully character modeling. Crits n bits as always:bandit:

Cheers
Jay

Looks cool, Jay, I’ll be watching. Did you lose your job, or are you just looking for a better one?

Anyway, hope you get a new job soon.

Hey Jr.

Thanks dude. Yeah myself and my team plus around 150 others lost their jobs over the last few months. I happy to say that Im doing some new tutes for Simply Maya so it keeps the roof over my head for now. One is underway atm and should be finished in the next week.

Im looking for a new job, I'd like to get into the games industry preferably or possibly vfx if not.

Cheers
Jay

Sorry to hear you lost your job.
Here's a link to a website i found maybe there's something in it for you; https://www.creativepool.co.uk/employ...esign-jobs.php

The model looks nice and a lot of the other works you have posted are topnotch too.
So i don't think you should have a real hard time getting a job(although competition is fierce).
Good luck in the job search, mateuser added image

Oh there was more than that the year before. They are basically making cuts to make profit. Its a kind of 'lean' thinking, less is more so to speak. I must admit I'd never wish anyone out of work, but some of the people there, looking at them made you wonder what the hell they did.

Yep tutes on the way, three in all at the moment. One is a mix of Maya and Zb and the others well I let you wait and see...

Cheers again guys
Jay

Sorry to hear about the job Jay, I've been there before on the 'lean to be keen' reason for job cuts.
Hope you get something in the near future.

I put a few job sites on the bottom of my 3D links page ready for when I made a decent portfolio. They are at the bottom of https://www.flash-fx.net/3D/links.php if you need them
