Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Ok here is a quick storyboard of the concept.
It's the old earthquake dam break cliche beggining with a tremour which cracks the dam followed by a quake that breaks the Hoovers back and the aftermath.
It should be a challenge to show in 8 to 10 seconds.

Done a matte painting in photoshop for the backgorund, removing the dam. Using various reference form the other asset pics kindly provided and other pics gathered of various rocks rivers etc.

Cheers Guys

Weve developed a workflow for bursting the dam, based on boolians and the maya shatter, and a few ideas pn the water in maya using ncloth, have to see how it goes, if its a bit off then its probably going to be a realflow sim.

When its all finalised we'll post up the workflow.
