Glass Animals

Almost done with these glass animal statues I've been working on. Looking for comments/critiques to help finish it up. Thanks ;]

Fantastic,

I used to know a bloke that made those things for real. I do have to say that the elephants back legs look as though they are not touching the floor on view 2 though.

they are really good user added image
the only thing that is a little unclear are the penguins, like they are far more see through than the elephant and giraffe.
great stuff user added image

oh yah happymatt, they were. thanks.

antiant - used mental rays caustics render, still on preview settings so ill hafta do a longer renderer. didnt use GI though, but mapped enviorment chrome to the reflectivty. tried projecting it on each animal but this worked better.

T1ck they are more see through becuase the glass is lighter, thet are the only ones that have pure white in their color shader. since thats mapped to the transparency that part is all see through, minus refractions/reflections. but i made them a little more gray to tkae care of that, thanks.

I made the elephant green cause i never saw a green elephant before and wanted to see one. billy madison ;]

but just because i thought that the red/yellow was too distracting. what do you guys think?

Yah I might, I might take a picture of my desk here then composite them onto it in premiere. Right now I'm animating the elephant rising up on two legs and swaying his trunk back and forth, as the camera pans underneath him. Thanks ;]
