Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Bezier curves in Maya?

I know I can import Adobe Illustrator paths into Maya, but, I was wondering if Maya has a way to manipulate a Curve's vertices with "handles" like you can in Illustrator.

3dsmax has this capability. So, I'm hoping that Maya has a similar approach and that I just haven't found it yet.

Thanks. What I think about Maya>>> :bgreen:

Not that I know of.

Except maybe the curve editor tool.. it might function similarly to something like that.

That's one thing that Maya could really do with. Bezier handles would make life so much easier. I'm sure they'll come along at some point.

Yea, because I rather build everything in Maya then import stuff in. I seem to come across fewer problems that way. Which pretty much goes for any program.

Strobe, it does? I can make the curves sharper? Can I change a point on the curve to make it a corner?

That will be an immense help if I can edit curves that way.

Thanks everyone. I'll report back.

Cool. I still haven't tried it, yet. Was busy with a site redesign last night.

Are the tools under Edit Curves? (Sorry, writing from day job)

Thanks.

Now if only their web site would work. I am unable to set up a username and password. I kept getting an error telling me I didn't fill out a username; which wasn't true.
