Maya/June-noob-slatamilian

I'm very new to this but I'm gonna give it a shot. Here is a fish I sketched quickly at work today.

Nice Reference drawing on an interesting and cool design. Good luck, can't wait to see it develop.

First Steps

Thanks for the good words. Could anyone tell me how to do a screen grab. I want to show a picture of the wireframe and can't figure that out. Thanks for any help. Please any help or advice on my modeling would be great.

Here is a bit of the start.

Changed

I had to change some stuff to get this right. I was trying to use Extrude Edge to pull out the bottom and top jaw but i was having problem. Instead i scale some new objects in place and attached them. This seams to be working better for me. Before I was getting weird results when I changed the polys into subDs.

the head kinda looks like one of those chinese dragons...cool

and you were getting weird results from extruding the edge because when you extruded you had two edges instead of one at that spot...you'd have to use merge edge or merge vertices to fix that
