This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
Grrr. Why am I so anxious to know what the theme will be for this month's challenge? Maybe I am hoping it will be something I'm actually good at and have a lot of interest in doing.....
Hmmm.... This is the longest 30 minutes of my life. Lol, Jk, anyway, try to post it before 4:00 AM as that is when I am going on vacation, and I could be coming up with ideas while I am away
hey, I am making a funny looking dragon. Check it out in WIP. It looks pretty funny....Under "Cartoonish Baby Dragon". But I dont guess I could use that if we did do a dragon.
I hope it's not underwater as I am all out of cartoon fish now following this times battle 8).
As for points for noobie challenge winners, you do get a badge and, sadly enough, I really enjoyed having that. Still it is more about learning stuff really and, when you get good enough, stepping up to join da boyz in normal. I find it's a good way to focus on modelling something. The battles are also great for that- who would have thought 5 days can evaporate just like that.
Hey guys, im so sorry for not posting today! I was going to get the challenge started up but after a long night the previous night i was not at my brightest.. i ended up working on a pond for 6 hours and just came in right now after visitors.. i absolutely forgot. As of now i will post this months challenge and i will re-edit my FIRST post . Sorry again.

Don't panic guys, at the noobie section the winer gets 6 vip points
and I know it because I was a winer at this section in February
The limit between noobie and normal is your knoledge about Maya and modeling with Maya.
If you are a beginer... you are a noobie
If you have that feeling that you could handel Maya you are certain on what you do with Maya, you can be a normal entry (you have to feel it when you are stager)
