Multiple groups

Is there any way to have an object in more than one group? I have a mounted gun and i need a few objects in it to have a differnt pivot but to also be able to share the main gun one as well

You could organise your scene so that you have a main/master group node, then groups inside of that, or use containers(2009 only) or sets instead of grouping.
