In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Error: Unknown object type: mib_bump_map

What does:

"Error: Unknown object type: mib_bump_map"

mean?

it happens EVERY time I load up a scene or create a new scene.

I know that it has someting to do with mental ray, cuz it started coming up when i turned the mental ray plugin on and it doesn't come up when i turn the mental ray plugin off.

Sounds to me like it's looking for something in the Maya code that doesn't exist.

Did Mental ray come with Maya or did you have to install it? If you had to install it, try reinstalling it. Otherwise, something looks to be corrupted.
