What the hell????

Hi everyone, hope someone can help me out here as I'm really stuck: I'm trying to do a render with displacment, one computer renders my test image ( image 1 ) as I want it to render but the computer next to it renders the same scene differently ( image 2 ), and it's not how i want it! Both computers have maya 5 and both renders are done with mental ray, what the hells going on? I've checked the settings one both computers and they appear to be the same unless i've missed something? Any help would be cool, Thanks a lot, James.

Could it be a default 1.0 texture node filter setting?

Try setting the smoother one to 0.0 to see what happensuser added image
