Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I've tried 3 times to download this but each time, on trying to unpack the zip file, it tells me that the file is invalid or corrupt.

ZBrush is lookin really good right now. The new projection stuff should be a way around the old uv mapping.

that looks really good wish could create things like that

do you think people are going to switch from maya or max to start using zbrush instead?

Why use maya or max when zbrush (from the looks of it) is easier and seems to create more detailed work? Just curious

note: I've never used zbrush before

Maya and Max are 100% different applications. ZBrush is not designed to deal with the stuff Maya and/or Max can.

Maya and Max are 3D modelling/texturing/animation/dynamics/hair/cloth etc... tools. Each having their own niche

ZBrush is a scultping/texturing tool only, but can be used as part of a pipeline in a studio.

Maya and Max are used to model the things, Zbrush is used to add super detail to the things created in Maya or Max.

Sorry, Not tru ZBrush is not just a tool that is used for Max and Maya or any other 3D app. Using ZBrush in this way is only 1 of the ways ZBrush can be used in any pipeline.

Look here at it will explain exactly what this 2.5D Application is (yes, 2.5D):
