I think the light sabre would look better if it was not all chrome. Some matte finnished parts (perhaps the handle bits) and a textured button or two maybe.

nice, great goin boss! Now is it harder to rig the hand in that position? with already bent fingers and such? to get your pivots aligned right...:/

Holy crap!! Thats awesome work, I can't wait to see him rigged and anitmated. When you painted the fave texture did you use a reference as a guide...how'd you do it? The only thing I can see that might need a little tweaking is the black on his face maybe having some spec to it. But I could be wrong as your renders are possible not your final lighting I take it??

u r right tim. i will add a spec map, and make the black portion of his skin a bit lighter-gray
