Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Modeling nose problem ?!

I spend about an hour or more of modeling this nose and i can't get it good :headbang:

you need loads of reference pictures of faces and noses, the more the better

Yeah what tick said, the nose seem to wide at the moment, and i think the tip of the nose should be bigger. You should also do some more work on those eyes, right now his face looks like one of those antique greece drama masks. user added image

Edit: The Joan of arc tutorial is kinda good to learn topology. user added image

hey coldwave, i reckon things you could improve are that the eyes look abit to far apart from each other... the bridge of the nose looks fairly small and skinny, heres a ref pic which helps alot when i did organic faces ...

Have a look into the proportions of the human head, where everything is in relation to other parts.

Also have a look at the topology thread both on there (in the WIP section) and over on CGtalk in the maya section as that will help you out on your layout as it looks very concentrated in some parts that with a tweek can help you get a better defined face with lower polys, then you can add loops to define areas.
