Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

camel reference pics?

Anyone know where I could find reference pics of a Camel? I've been trying to model one for so long but the pics I have are not that great.. either that or I'm not that great, but thats besides the point. Looking for references of a side shot and a front shot to build off of.
I'm looking for the dromedaries camel, not the bactrian.
Dromedaries have one hump and are desert dwellers
Bactrian have two humps and are more rugged, cold-climate dwellers.
Maybe I missed what I was looking for in my searches or maybe they just don't have what I'm looking for... if worse comes to worse I'll just use the camel on my cigarette pack as a reference.

thank you guys so much! I don't know how I never came across these, I spent more than just 5 minutes searching for pics, and you guys did it better than me, thanks again! I've always loved camels, the band, the animal, the cigarettes, haha..

hey Man

If yiour going to model a animal then reference is king, (as it is with every other thing you model too to be honest!) Try to get as much ref as possible from all different angles and in different poses, this way you can then see how the muscle structure goes to gether and how its made up as it will make your model more believable.

good luck!

Just draw your own and you can stylize it as much as you want. That could be a lot of fun!

I have a hard time doing things in 2d, 3d has always been easier for me. I've been able to build things but not draw them out.

parka - thank you there are some pretty good pics in there

acid - it's alright, it is kinda funny, why would a camel need pictures of other camels?
