Arren its been a long time since you did, but every time you do - you beat me so .. up to you - we miss you man - give us a run for our money.

Its so funny Farscape "Peace keepers wars" is on tonight for Easter (don`t ask me what its got to do with it).

Gun finished - when you see the size of these you`ll see why this is as much detail as I`m putting in to them.

Right blocked in most of the ship just so I don`t forget where I want to go with this. This thing has changed so many times in my head and its been just over 24 hours so locking it down will do me some good.

https://www.ravage3d.com/images/sship/spaceship1_9.jpg

The only part I`m not 100% on is the front, but its only very basic at the mo and thinking once I get some details on it - it will take shape. The sticking out part with have telecommunication equipment on it and with spin around and the side wings hangers (the only thing I have nicked from battle star).

I know I am steaming thought this one but I want as much time as poss to texture.

Hey I noticed you bevelled some stuff...

Can you teach me how to apply a texture to something after it's been bevelled? I've tried deleting history...

Pandinus - you have to UV map it.

Questions are fine of course, but try not to hijack the thread. user added image Just an early warning.

Well twentytunes, looks like you're doing it again. It maybe just basic shapes and primatives but the detail is there and i found that cool designs are harder to come by, but once you get it they are so much more fun to work on, this is what you have!
To be honest you have made me rethink my own spaceship - which is a good thing - and i wish you luck on this project.

Well thanks again for all the kind words. One think I forgot when I blocked the shape in was the bomb - the whole purpose of the ship. So been working on that all day and this is what I have come up wit so far..

https://www.ravage3d.com/images/sship/spaceship2_1.jpg

Instead of one planet-killer bomb it now has six (and I might go for 12 who knows). I also have a load of flaps that are in the straight pose for now but will be changed about towards the end just like the guns.

Just need to figure out 2 things now - 1) where its going to go - which leads to 2) how will it attach to the ship - hmmmmm just under 1000000 poly mark now aswell

And Pandinus - yes I bevel everything but always before I start to uv map and texture so I never really had a problem with bevels and texturing.

Nice work tweetytunes! That ship is well armed and ready for battle. I am also anxious to see how it looks textured. You mentioned to Dango that you may do a Star wars fly over. That should be good!! It will be fun watching it evolve!!

Challenge me and I will try. Because If I should fail, failure also has a prize (Knowledge).

The idea behind this ship is not for battle but to finnsh it off. It would jump in and drop the payload and only use the guns and missels to deafend itself while waiting to set up the bomb drop then reteat away from the blast.

Well thats how it works in my head.

If not a starwars fly over a fly around the ship by a smaller craft or some thing. but I want to show off the little details - like the flaps moving and the mounted guns moving.

I know texturing is going to be a bitch on this one that's why I want it finished sooner than later so I can get to work on them.

Any progress on the command centre part of the ship. The hangers are still very ruff but the command post (the box on top is almost done - just need to add some comm`s equipment.

https://www.ravage3d.com/images/sship/spaceship2_3.jpg

It almost looks like a finished ship - hehe
