a clipboard weapon would be nice or elastic bands as weapons - maybe he has a huge ball of them wrapped up and as he uses them the ball gets smaller. You can find more balls around the levels as you progress...

I think I'm done with the background. wanted to give it a more morbid look to fit with what I have in mind for the characters.
