O.K so this is my second go at it. I've posted on how to do this and got some great help, thanks so much everyone for the support Newbie's! Forum!

I've posted some new images and hopefully someone can give me a hand on how to finish this thing.

To quickly bring everyone up to speed here's a quick rundown on what I'm trying to achieve.

I "m trying to build a Pipe / Tube that resembles the look of a Cable from an internet connection or TV cable outlet.

Basically the action would be -- where flying down the pipe, ( camera is flying down pipe turning corners etc) the pipes inside texture is made up from many panels. Here's the catch... these panels are lit up. I need to be able to control the light behind each panel. So I can make a row of panels light up and travel down the pipe.


IÕve started with a Nurbs curve and extruded it to make a tub. Then I added isoparms to smooth the pipe out to get it to the desired smoothness.

Then I created a texture in Photoshop that looks like one of the panels.

Then I created a spot lit to light the beginning of the Pipe and
created a phong material and assigned the file to it. I set the U and V repeat of the texture to repeat to get the desired look. The Final Pipe needs to look something like this.

I'm still so new to Maya but I just need a little direction on how to achieve this. and still have the control over the panels so I can light them up.

I really hope someone can help.... Sorry for the long post I just donÕt want to waist anyoneÕs time. And I want to be very specific about what I'm trying to achieve here. Please be specific in your steps as I'm a Newbie, like allot of guys around here.
