Why cubes instead of a cylinder? The arms definitely need work, they have a kind of rubber chicken thing going on right now. And that's may C&C <3

i like your hard surface modelling very nice.

The character itself i would suggest, looking at some hand references, at the moment they look a bit playdoy.

I like the overal shape where it is heading keep it up this way.

Also look on to how old man look like.

Give yourself the following questions.

Is he fat?
Was he ever fat? if he ever was you see lots of hanging skin
Is he bony?
Dose he have a disease.
Is he hary?

and so you can see from just my basic questions it actually involves in allot of detail work for the character. It gives your character personality.

So try to find more of these questions for yourself.

Hope it helps!

the gut looks weird and pointy, can you show the wireframe? looks like you need more edge loops or something to make it look round

you should stretch the arms more
the part witht he biceps and triceps that is.... i would give a proper name but i dont know it yet.

i dont know if it's the angle that make his gut look pointy... you can clearly see a constant colour change around him and it looks weird...

maybe it's not a problem with edge loops but maybe you need to make him taller so the gut goes down more?
