Mar/Apr - Norm - g1842

Mine will be transforming into a hover ship.

Here's the basic transformation.

cool, a nice bit of transforming user added image

I'd probably keep the arms straight forward all the way through as it seems a bit pointless to move them up and then back down.

Very nice transformation concept! Horrible video compession though, I could barely see the robot.

THX1138:

Your playback on your media player is probably on 200% instead of 100%, making it blurred to where you can't see the robot.

t1ck135:

Thanks. I guess I wasn't paying attention to it lol. When I rotated the whole back it automatically took the arms with it.

Updates coming soon. I've already started.

I'm using Quicktime 7 to view it, and it doesn't matter what the video is scaled at, the heavy compression is very evident. But don't get me wrong, I can see the robot transform, it's just that the compression has killed the video quality.

It's still a very cool transformation!user added image

I watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith yesterday, and my concept sparked by the robot dropping the little bomb in the basement.

So instead of making a huge transformer I thought about some sort of stealth robot. It'll be small and compact.

Two Modes:

1. Vehicle Mode - It will have wheels or tank treads or something of the sort for mobility. The vehicle mode's primary purpose is just to get to the destination point.

2. Robot Mode.. - It will be able to walk or crawl. It'll be able to climb walls for stealth camera work. The robot mode's primary purpose is to gather information through camera's and microphones to record important information. The secondary purpose will be to destroy target's with bombs.

My only idea on transformation right now is to have the tires in Vehicle Mode to transform into the cameras in Robot Mode.

COMMENTS and OPINIONS please.

Cool idea gohan user added image

I get the idea of something like a ninja crossed with the robot 'AMEE' from Red Planet.

Well heres one of the lenses. I'll do more do it and figure out some use for it.

Edit: Take note of the shaders and the whole render. I'm no render expert for now so I had no intentions of getting correct reflections, shaders, etc.; so don't worry about that.

Update. Here's the tire around the camera. It'll all come together here soon if you can't quite see where I'm going.

I definately have some work to do on the mesh. Need to do some cleanup on it. It's too high poly.

There's supposed to be 2 different tire treads there, so don't think that it's both sides of the robot put together lol.

The left picture shows the vehicle mode so it can move and the right side shows robot mode so it can record images.

nice modelling. It'd be nice to see a concept as its hard to visualise much at the minute.
