Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Slatamilian's Stuff

Ok I keep Jumping around so I have started a bunch of threads! so I decided that I am going to put everything I work on for now on on one thread! So here is a picture of a creature I am working on. While i was on vacation in mexico I got to see this great documentary about the beginning of Pixar and the work that John Lasiter did with ancient computers! This really motivated me to do some serious work so here is the start of a character I am working. I hope to get him and a couple more characters fully rigged for some animation! Hopefully a short film. Very short i'm sure!!

Nice character

I think its safe to say that guys like John Lassiter inspire us all who do this, albeit professionally or even hobbyist guys.

Its good to see someone else have their juices fired up by such things

Good luck with this. Take your time with it and Im Im sure it will work out for you, and if you get stuck, theres plenty of peeps here to help.

Looking good!

The Character seems pretty cool! Is it based on a particular design, or concept? If so it would be cool to see it.

Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.
