This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

maya - strange shadow effect with verts in a line

I get this little shadow effect when I have multiple verticies vertically arranged.

Any ideas why this is happening? It's very common for me.

nevermind i found the fix

normals-->unlock
select problem object
normals-->harden
