nurmssubdivishion

is it any simular in maya as in max "nurmssubdivision?"
i mean can i make my object more smoother look and pull a few verts where i whant and go back to the harder loook?

Not familiar with the max functions, but think that switch back and forth from Sub-Ds to Polys should allow you to do what you want. You may also consider working with the poly smooth proxy.
