This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Nov/Dec - Noob - Reimo

Hello, Do you still remember me? Havent been active from summer now.
I decided to enter and started modeling but didn't post thread. Now I saw that someone had the same idea so I hope he dosen't mind I'am doing the same thing. Almoust same user added image It's my volleyball shoes.
I thougt I post it when I have something major done but now I made a mistake and can't undo the damage. I smoothed the object that wasn't compleated and now I cant finish it. :headbang: stupid ... yes! but I thought that I still post and maybe try to finish it... yea right

Yeah, can you post a real pic of the shoes? You have got a really nice start on them so far. joed8349 is doing shoes. He hasn't done much, but I look forward to seeing how his turns out just as much as yours. Shoes seem to be difficult to model.

THX1138 - thanks, yes it's pretty tough to model shoes, they are more organicthan inorganic. Modeling cars seems easy comparing this user added image
I was already thinking of giving up but still forcing myself to work on with this model. It dosen't look as nice as I want it to look.
