Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

NURBS shelf

hi, I start my NURBS training in a couple of days (exams almost over now). I already made a misc and polygons shelf, now I need a NURBS aswell.
Can you give me some suggestions on the most used buttons that should be on it, plz?

hmm.. I would just make an empty shelf, start modeling, and when you get familiar with the tools YOU use frequently then put them on the shelf..

In my eyes theres no such thing as a shelf that covers all people, and if you make your own shelf you make Maya more and more grow on you, because you "made it yourself" ..

That is just my oppinion tho..

Have fun and GL on the Nurbies user added image

Yeah, Rebuild Surfaces options would be a big one in my eyes, too.

Hi d24e,

kill history might also be an good idea... besides that if a subject has a option box, I use that instead of the subject...

btw. ik wens je veel geluk met je examen... user added image

another way to quickly have access to often used commands is creating Marking Menus.
