Well i'm back from my hols and back into things a bit. Just a update shot. I'm a bit overbudget with the polys so I need to trim things down a bit. And I still need to add a few extra items, pistol, lasso etc.

Working on the hair now. I'm having a bit of bother deciding on the best look. I've done full hair, hair skinhead and am thinking about pigtails as well..... Its all to much for my poor little brain.....

lonepig, I too am amazed at how much detail you get from so few polys!

btw, I recall "lonepig" as a character from Robert A. Heinlein's book "Universe"...
And is that penguin your model? Have you other renderings of it? I think it would make a fantastic Linux mascot.

Thanks Blomkall and Hiraghm. I've not been able to do much for a while as my girlfriend was involved in a minor car crash. She's not hurt but it shook me up a bit.

Currently trying to UV the sucker.

I'm trying to play around with normal mapping.
I've got my lowpoly and hipoly meshes but when I try to transfer surface info ( options tab ) I get a error, ( Error: Value is out of range: 0 ).

What am I doing wrong?

Can't help you with normal mapping coz there's been no time to delve into that. Honest and brutal truth is "I know nothing, I'm from Barcelona". Eagerly awaiting Mikes tutorial.

Horse is class though, and I have a feeling you will be able to reuse that model (with slight modifications depending on your needs of course) many times. Good job on the UV mapping.

Thanks AlphaFlyte and a big YIPPEE as Mike is uping his normal mapping tut tonight.

Getting on with the cowgirl uv map. Basic layout getting there just needs a bit of tweaking to make painting it a bit easier.
