Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

How to convert Motion Trail to key frames?

I have a cube parented to a skeleton joint.

The cube follows this joint in the animation.

I want to copy the motion of the cube, un-parent the cube, and re-apply the motion to the cube.

So, then I would have the cube move exactly as before, but now it would have independent key frames, and no parent.

How can I do this?

you mean its as simple as that?? just select the 'cube' and press 'bake simulation' and then I can remove the skeleton and the cube will have ts own keys??

Yep, you can do it with dynamics, parents, motion paths etc when you get the simulation/animation how you want it. so that playback, rendertimes, movement etc is faster.
