Creating BOXER SHORTS! :-)

I would like some help creating Boxer Shorts on maya..what do you think will be the best shape to start with?
Should i use cloth later?
Any suggestions??

Personally, I would draw it out with splines and just make it out of patches

Thats a good idea. alot of people swear on Subdiv. But I haven't really gotten into it. I am not much of a modeler, so I just do what I need to do to get done for the animation and thats about it. I have't tried to learn sub d's yet. Patch modeling can get really frustrating.

Sorry im a bite late with answer user added image

Just ran throu the maya clots manual. So if you have unlimited, it should be easier to create more realistic shorts.
