Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

n...Cloth...sims...killing...computer...:headbang:

Don't worry, I am aware of the "x" shape that appears to be bulging out; that is due to how low-poly my pillow is, and it's keeping its form. I will clean that up shortly.

I have both a "pillow" geometry and a "pillowcase" geometry with their own individual settings interacting with one another. The pillowcase has some negative pressure so it "sucks in" and hugs the pillow, while the pillow has some positive pressure, so it attempts to "fill out" the pillowcase, and tries to refrain from looking like some of the uber-skinny models that have been getting notoriety as of late...just without corsets...

Thanks jsprogg. My only reference was my bedroom door. I placed the hinges accordingly. But, it is an old house so it doesn't surprise if it's not the norm. I'll check it out...thanks.

hey guys sorry, I've hardly had time for my computer between work, and things around the house (spring cleaning). I might just sit this one out and watch the progress, you guys are doing a pretty good job so far.

Allright, let's have a vote:

A) Do the pillows, and then do the sheet so that the sheet drapes over the pillows.

or

B) Do the sheet, and then do the pillows, so that the pillows lay on top of the sheet.

My wife votes pillows on top of the sheet. If it's not too much work, you could render both ways and see which way turns out better. I can't wait to learn cloth now.

Heh...believe me, letting the sim run and generate the look is far more painful (time-wise) than rendering is :p

I'll try both after my Particle Effects homework is done rendering.

After looking at the scene with the mattress and pillows, I'm wondering if I made the end units too small. Or is it too soon to really tell? What do you think?

There werent any pillows in the ref image, so thinsg can look a lil different.
Gonna setup the camera and see if everything matches visually, if it does, great.
Either way not really a matter of much concern.

U've had quite action packed days.

Will KIT.

There should be a camera named "Camera1" which I think is pretty closely matched to the image plane.

edit: Should give you a good place to start anyway.
