This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Only thing I can think of is that your UVs were changed after you exported your UV shot.

-Are your UV's layed out?
-If so go to the Placement 2d node it's the tab next to the file tab(see your own screenshot) and turn the uv's 90 degrees
