This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Shoes

Just finished these. There are a couple issues that could be fixed (primarily texturing) but I'm pretty burnt on them right now.

Nice modeling, also reckon the textures alright ...

Only thing which i think is letting it down is probably the background. I reckon you should try to place it onto some sort of shiny surface and maybe brighten up the light would do.

such as this picture kind of, but still looks good user added image

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, the background really isn't much. I'm afraid I've lost motivation to go back and correct it at the moment.

Pretty much blindly fiddling with bump, specular, and reflectivity maps till it satisfied me.

Reflectivity is really low. Specularity is a bit higher though not very. Bump, if I remember correctly was rendered clouds with another filter applied (unfortunately I don't remember which) and then a blur to smooth the transitions a bit. Then I darkened the layer and added the thread bumping.

If your more curious than that I can post the different maps for you.

Nice shoes m8. Beats me how females actually walk in those.
