There's a painter that does amazing photorealistic fruit...so, thought I'd give it a try in 3d...seems like it will be really fun to texture. Here's a collage of some of the reference I found on the internet...

whoa, those are both great fruit and nicely textured user added image. Kiwi though looks a bit too perfect, maybe put a dent in it on the side and then make the top look more, rounded or concaved or something. The papaya is amazing though. Mumbojumbo where are ya? Hope to see a final render from both of you.. just i think mumbo would have to go quick!
