I've thought that exact same thing many times... I wish all apps had customizable marking menus/ space bar menu's etc. Imagine if photoshop also worked like that? interactivly changing brush and opacity settings like with the paint tool in maya... would be sooo good

Yeah it'd be really cool.

There's a guy (he could even be on these forums?) who's created a java Maya interface for his webpage and it's pretty cool!

Hehe somtimes I minimize Maya and it takes me few seconds to realize why spacebar or holding down the right mouse button doesn't work!

And I always try to move things with the middle mouse button!

AW should make a Maya Linux distrbution or Windows shell or something just for Maya users.

Hey all, I'm just a newbie here in this part of the woods...(in more ways than one) I've been a lightwave user for years..I think it's an awesome program, but I've just recently started to work with Maya and I have to say the modelling experience is more......pleasant..... also I feel the Ik feels less bogged down.... that being said I still love lightwave, can't stand 3dmax and learning to adore Maya....

welcome aboard quaoar!

being a lightwave user too, I'm a little surprised about your modeling statement; I feel LW still rocks for SDS modeling, though real NURBS and construction history obviously have their advantages : )
