Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

May/June - Noob - MarkeMark

I'm going to keep it simple this time.

The Tiger shark is one of the most dangerous of all sharks. I Love the subtle striped texture on its back and the overall shape looks very cool.

I can’t wait to get started…

Cheers Pony, the gif is only 21k too, which is nice.

FireWorks (by Macromedia) is the best program to use for all web based graphics.

Back again. I've been busy so my last post was over 30 days ago. Buying a new house is o time consuming.

Anyway, I have started to model the fins and get the proportions correct.

I have played a little with the scene and placing of the main characters.

Now back to the modeling...

Would that top fin not be fully connected to the body? Just something that looks a little wierd.

Thanks guys.

alienscience: the fin is a little strange looking but that is how my ref image looked. I might connect it anyway.

perhaps just make the gap smaller between body and fin - more like the photo reference you gave in the first post. It looks like there is a seperation, but the unconnected fin seems to rest on the body there. Good work so far!
