Ford Escort Mk II

Hey there
I thought I might start this as a personal learning project, and see how far it goes user added image
I have a bonnet so far (WOW! user added image)

no it isnt, it just something I'm doing by myself, to figure out everything myself user added image
I feel I learn better that way.
Im Just contemplating what to do next on it, weather to extrude the bonnet faces across to do the fenders or not. Should be fun.

I havent done a car...dont interest me yet..Im more of an aeroplane type....or kick arse mech warrior..he he he he

good luck with it then...where the hell did you get ortho planes for it?? or are you just working of ref's from the net? Or own one..something about Kiwis and old cars?? LOL

haha, I think its something in the genes... nah Theres just something about a BDA escort that gets me going. that and the old Quattros, Im going to try get my hands on a GT coupe sometime next year (gotta love the V5 user added image) um, the BPs are from the-Blueprints and im just using what little ref photos are out there to try make this look decent.

cheers, I'm hoping i can do this properly. Biggest problem i see at the moment is the flares... but ive bust done one of them so lets hope its right!

Few more shots to show off, only tweaking needs to be done on the fender to match up with the bonnet now (I think), then its on to figuring out how to curve it into what is the front bumper of the car.

Pretty neat mate...you have a few triangles in there...try to keep them to a minimum or in hidden areas. The bonnet doesnt quite match?? how does it look when you smooth preview?

Hey you should use blue prints you will end up being more accurate and efficient

Yeah, trying to figure out the triangles is very irritating, i need to match the fender to the bonnet too yeah, smooth looks alright but needs touching up. and Yes I am using blueprints user added image

Update for everyone ^^
Hope you have/had a good new year so far... As for this escort, Im making all the basic shapes of the roof, rear, doors etc and going to add more res to them one by one. Who knows, might end up being an escort concept..
