This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
Wow, this is going to be quite interesting. I have been doing some experiments with Realflow and looking at After Effects now. The combination of the tools should do the trick.
I'll start building a model of the dam now. Will show progress soon.
I've had a real hard time figuring out alignment with the provided pictures. Predominantly it turned out to be a problem with alignment between the image planes of the top and front camera. That messed up proportions. I'm still not completely satisfied with the alignment to the "production" plates, so I'll continue tweaking it as I go. For now I don't want to be hung up.
the only thing I noticed is that the rocks on the left of the picture look too repetative (clone stamp tool I guess)
and to say something positive; the rest of what you've posted here looks good :p
good luck
I took the next step and applied the technique to the dam model. The forces and particle interaction need to be much more fine tuned. And this is just the first part where the water starts breaking through the dam. That will cover the first 2 to 3 seconds of the sim. Then a large part of the dam will start collapsing.
