3d mouse

I was thinking about buying a 3d mouse. Just out of curiosity.

But I have no Idea what so ever, will it worth buying, and how much it is gonna help in my maya work flow. What about others softwares, like Photoshop...etc etc

Can anyone enlighten me about this.

Never heard of a 3d Mouse... Just looked it up and found https://www.3dconnexion.com/products/spacepilot-pro.html It doesnt really look like it would improve my 3D work, all those buttons seem a bit superfluous.... I dont even really get how you'd use it... Its like $400

I WANT one... user added image

..not going to get one, but still I'm a sucker for gadgets.

Thats the one 3D!!! yeh bloody expensive.

I agree Dom...I dont how useful it would be though. Then again I though that about the Playstation controls...then once I got used to it...found it hard to play with other types of controllers.

Im on the fence at the moment...until we hear from some one who has actually used one?

Unless that thing sucks the concept out of my mind and literally sculpted my ideas into 3D through a neural-interface, I'm not paying $400 for it!

"Um, this isn't Mars. This is Earth."
"Earth? Earth-with-nuclear-weapons Earth?"
"Yes."

steve, it's called brain computer interaction, it works best if you cut your head open and plug the device straight into your brain.

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

Computer skills I should have:
Objective C, C#, Java, MEL. Python, C++, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, HTML, SQL, CSS, FXScript, Clips, SOAR, ActionScript, OpenGL, DirectX
Maya, XSI, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Motion, Illustrator, Flash, Swift3D

I had to thank you because you made me laugh with the "neural-interface" part. Thanks again for that! hahah
