Have you seen the trailers for Drakengard, yet? Game got mixed reviews but the trailer looks pretty wicked.

In the trailer, the character "cloud" has quite the resemblance to Tidus from FFX....the other guy he fights reminds me of Danté from the Devil May Cry series.

they just remind me of the old charachters from FFVII only they look alot more kickass... well, i dunno actually, cloud was a kickass charachter and so was Sephiroth... hmmm the new ones certainly look cool, except that cloud looks like a girl.

Looks awesome so far...
Still, I would prefer Square doing the "real" final fantasy, in the older fantasy setting (like the first games (and IX). I was never much for the newer SciFi ones (even though the graphics have always been awesome).
I'd say, make a movie based on Final Fantasy III (VII) user added image

Awww man, why am i always late in seeing these threads. anyway, the trailer got my hopes high, (i'm trying not to jinx it) since i'm still suffering from FFTSW and FFX-2 trauma. i just hope they haven't forgotten what made the title great to begin with.
