Animation clip

I have done my first scene for my animation but when my character is moving, i need him to look as though he is breathing whilst sleeping.

Trouble is, he moves but so does his hands and arms.

Also, when he stands up, i want his hand to stay in place.

Any way i can fix this? My friend uses 3dmax and he said that it has an oprtion called 'fix' which sorts this prblm out.

Anyway i can use a technique or even a script.

Take a look. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanx

FBIK isnt necessary, if your using a premade rig check the documentation and make sure the arms are set to IK mode (if they are IK/ FK switchable) then its a simple case of making sure your IK and pole vector controllers arnt translating when you want his arms still.
