hi all need some big help with textures

well i am kinda new to textureing i dont know the first thing to it. can someone give me a tut where a newbie can uderstand what someone is thying to say or if you have time can you tech us all the fundamintals on textureing.

A great book to look at is Digital Texturing and Painting by Owen Demers. It's not software specific, and it covers a lot of information about texturing techniques, fundamentals of painting, approaches to building textures and materials, etc. Excellent book and required reading for my students. user added image
