Fur and faces?

Hi guysuser added image

I am woundering if maya will let me with some setting to pick the faces I want to use fur on, and not the whole object?

Like pick a face and add fur just to that one face, is this possible?

if you've laid out the uvs then yes. You can paint a fur map to tell maya where you want the fur and where you dont want it.
