Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Maya 6 Error on reading file

Hello

I've got a prob.

I am trying to open a tutorial file and when I try to do so in Maya 6.0

This is what the script editor tells me.

file -f -o "F:/hairStart.mb";
// Error: line 1: Unknown Maya file version: 6.0. //
// File read in 0 seconds.

What I say, to Maya.

I've also attached the file in question.

Any Clues?

works fine for me! No problems. The only thing I can think of is if you are on beta it will not be compatible with the final release of Maya 6. Where did you get the file?

Your right about the file not being read in the beta version.

I don't know what was going on but things are working now.

Thanks for looking into it
