lattices

hi,
some of the tutorials i visit...all over the net...apply lattices in them and expect us to know it. however, i haven't quite found a tutorial that tells me what lattices are and how to use and what to use it for, etc. someone's help would be greatly appreciated. thanx a lot.

under the animation menus,

Deform > Create Lattice.

It essentially creates a "cage" around your model that will let you manipulate your model's shape with much fewer control points.

go buy the trex modelling tutorial. it will teach you how to use lattice. i just learned it yesterday!
