Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

many thanks guys and gals.., nice have people watching over one 9people you can trust that is).

LOL.., i thought you did the tut John.., many thanks.., very well done and such a challenge and such a subject.

well while i was away i had a lot of restarts as usual., i was going to bevel the inside of the big door, i did actual (and started again).., and realised what a nightmare of vert merging and such that was.., so i have left the beveling inside the big door alone. i found somehow the back of the big door was being skewed (wrong word.., sort of rounded??) so i went in and trued straightening verts out via the old and trusted scale the verts in 'n' direction.

anyway.., heres what i came home with and im all eyes and ears as to what i have or have not done.

From what I can tell the main door looks fine and I see you have made the diagonal arches better.
A very nice job so far mirek, keep it going it can only get easier user added image

Looks good, whats weird is that I never actually looked closely at the Taj Mahal before so it seems kinda alien to me without the distinctive roofing added.

but yea, actually its a building that has always, since a kid.., left me in awe.., ive always wanted to model it.., it was a big desision to buy it. looks like John knows the building inside and out.., actually a fly through would be nice.., if one had a year or so to do it.user added image

yea, so a lot of time is spent trying to fix them.., only to go back later and live with the mistakes due to a sort of .., domino effect.., and i dont want to start again from wayyy back user added image

John.., yea, i am learning a lot that i didnt know existed.., subtle stuff but totally important.., and a great example you have done of speed and efficiency.
