Hey Kurt. Just wanted to say how nice these models are and very inspiring. I learned Maya from watching your tuts (the orc head, haunted house, franky, etc...) and have since started learning Zbrush as well. I wonder, would you ever consider doing a video lesson on retopo from start to finish. I mean even including getting all the detail back in your model and subdivision levels and all that stuff. Hard to wrap my head around those concepts but I know you are a great teacher and I could probably get it, finally! haha... thanks

I haven't done any tuts in a long time now. You can ask Dave if retopo or even 3d printing would be something he would like to see on site as it is a bit different mind set as well as a lot of dynamesh work along with other things to consider.. Jay has pretty much everything covered from the traditional modeling stand point with new updated tuts. I would have to see if I have any decent recording software for windows 10 as well.

We're right in the middle of the biggest upgrade we have ever done here. So things at the moment are a bit rushed. That said personally I love Kurts adventures in 3D printing. I'll be the first inline with cash in hand when he gets the shop open.
I'll love to see a tutorial on 3D printing. Kurt if your up for it i'll give you a shout next week and we can hammer out the details
All the best
Dave

a 3d printing tute would be great. Ive covered retoplogising in a couple of new tutes plus dynamesh, with a few things thrown in.
But a 3d printing, with the full set up for models would be great to see I think
cheers

I almost have enough 3d printed models made to get my 3d printing portfolio up, but I wanted to do one more character that is not designed by myself. Mark Andrew Smith, writer and creator of Gladstone's School for World Conquerors has given me permission to do a 3d print of one of the awesome characters found in the comic. I decided to do Kid Nefarious. The pose is still being tweaked and once that's done I can go into final detailing and slice and key him for printing.

If not I'll paint by hand.

I still have to print them in parts. I want to get the fuse machine down the road no more supports and a bigger build volume. its a powder machine no more messy resin.
