Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Masteryoda - Noob - Mar/Apr!

I'm gonna try to catch up with you guys i got inspired this morning by looking at an audi TT near my house and got a brilliant idea on how to do it. heres the pic of the car (not the one i saw, took it from google but thats how i'm gonna do the car...wish me luck people (tommorow i'll take some photos of the car near us for reference). i'll do some sketches with my wacom and upload them so you'll have a rough idea on how i'm gonna do it.

wheel added disk break and basic mechanism....btw where i can invent i will invent and not keep everytihng like the one in the photo, i'll just do the body similar and arange it sort of.

This is definitely a good choice of vehicle - I can see how you would feel inspired - just looking at the car, I am beginning to see a robot!

user added image thx for the comments user added image , today i got some of the body ready and finished the door. still got loads to do... some lines here and there and get the other stuff like glass ect... I'll try to do the front part of the car under the headlights and the glass if i got time.

good sketch ..i love the colors lol ...coming along good and fast ...impressive ...

curious is there any way that you can write a thread or a small tutorial in ms word on how you do your clay so good ? i have follow some and not got it correct ..or is there a thread you followed ?

more progress the front thingy is comlete and i stiched up the body and duplicated the wheels. tommrow i plan to do the missile launcher instead of head lights and 2 rows of missiles on top of the roof of the car (that forms the chest of the robot) and boolean difference the edges of the parts of the transformation or i'll bump map them...
