hardware renering

I need to use the hardware renderer for an assignment, but i cant figure out how to save a tiff image from there?

Any suggestions?

When you open up the hw render buffer select Render -> Attributes. In the Image Output Files section you're able to change the image format to whatever you want.

I got that far, but i find the save image option to acualy save the image on my drive....???

You have to render a sequence. Set the start and end frames to the same and you'll get just one tiff image.
