Game character rig issues

I'm a complete maya/rigging noob. I went through the process of rigging a game character following digital tutors' great maya series "rigging game characters in maya 2011". I'm not sure if I missed something, because when I try to move the group that holds the rig I get this :

any ideas?

hey Lion`I, thanks for the reply. I figured out the problem.

I had the splineIK's curve grouped with the root node causing double transformations. I put it in a folder called "dont_touch" for good measure.


In case anyone is using the rigging a game character with 2011 from digital tutors, the answer to this problem is in video 14 at 12:50.
