Christmas project

Hey guys.

This is my first "all-on-my-own" maya project. I've done a real extensive tutorial with a rolex watch, and a bit of architecture projects for my school, but that's all been on a conceptual level. I think i'm going for a "Tau" (race from Warhammer 40K) kinda battle robot. I use no direct references, but this (railgun) is inspired by the Tau railgun. I don't know if this is the best way to start, but thought I might as well start with the firepower user added image

Comments / critics are most welcome, as i'm in the process of learning....

Merry christmas everyone... user added image

Looks good so far.

Always have some ref even if you not going to follow it. It really does help for those moments where you just get stuck.

One thing though if you want help it is always better to always post some wireframes as well as the renders so ee can see whats goin wrong.

Good luck and hsppy christmas

The robot itself is taking form... Since i'm using no direct ref., it's transforming into kinda of an EVE from Wall-E and a Tau battlesuit mix hehe... user added image

With some wireframe screenshots... Comments are appreciated. user added image
