Animating to music...

Can anyone advise (if its possible) to animate to say an mp3 track in maya?

I want to animate a character dancing to music and really need the music to play at the same time as the animation to get timing right etc.

Is this possible? Are there any good tutorials that can walk me through this? All advice is appreciated...

It would work in the same way as lip-sincing, timing wise. If you right click on the timeline, there will be an option about loading in sound, I can't remember exactly what the options r as dont have maya infront of me. But you can load it in there and the sound levels will appear in the timeline, so you can time the dance to the music, then once done, just reder out the dance, and put the sound with it in a editing or compositing package.
