Free Portal on Steam

Hey PC gamers... or not-so-frequent-gamers-but-still-can't-resist-Portal
I pre-purchased Portal 2... yay!! And I've got a couple giftable copies of the original Portal, pretty much my favorite game of all time (again, I don't play that many games, but it rocks). So... chime in if you'd like to be my friend on Steam and jump on the Portal bandwagon.

I've been told the word "Free" gets results... so we'll see.

Disclaimer: I reserve the right not to gift the aboveforementioned game to the first person(s) to respond this thread.

how generous of you. But when steam came to mac Portal was free for a month so I have that (on pc, didn't have a mac at the time and my current one is entry level because im poor so it's crap and doesn't do anything graphically intensive) user added image

and you know what?

I feel fantastic and I'm still alive.

Haha... I forgot about that... everyone probably already has it. But someone probably thought the cake was a lie or something and didn't go for it. The cake is not a lie. Don't believe the walls.

In other news... I have a HL2 and HL2:Ep1 free game if people want that too.

Don't care about the free games, but is Ep. 1 any good? been thinking about buying the orange box but I can't really justify buying HL:2 and portal (which I've already beaten) with crappy mini-games to fill the void.

Yeah, Ep1 was really good, but I think I liked HL2 and Ep2 better. Can't wait for Ep3

Hi stwert,

My dad and I are looking to try Portal- so I was looking on google where to get it cheap, and that's how I got here.

I'm sure you'd rather give your copies to active forum members here, but if you have any copies left let me know, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
Jared

Hey Dolman... funny my thread came up on google. We'll see if any of the regular members want in for the moment, but if not, I'd be happy to send you a copy. In the meanwhile, why not download the free trial of Maya and give a shot at making something user added image

Sure jbrallier... what's your steam ID?

Hey bullet... I think I can counter your objective criticism with this rebuttal: "Steam doesn't suck."

And Dolman, I checked your steam ID and it looks like you already have portal now?
