Spikes would be nice but those wings are excellent! I think they set it off really nicely.

Looking good.

Man, those wings are awesome! One thing though, thats a pretty dinky spike on his wings buddy. Lol, maybe spice it up a bit or make it look more like the spike at his... knee area (if thats considered his knee). In any case though its looking fantastic, im just throwin ideas out.

Something about the feet just don't seem... well right... don't get me wrong... those are some most excellently modeled feet. But since the rest of the body is more in a style of slim, and athletic, I visualize more of a claw type of foot... not so much big puppy feet.

ChiTao

Then again... If I could model... I would be dangerous

Very good, Kurt. The model looks very impressive, nice muscle details. the claws/legs are awsome! Love this kind of models!!

Working on a model myself in the same category (when I have the time) at this moment (knuckelin' on Mr Stahlbergs skin-shader)

Have you only used Maya in your 3D adventures? Did you ever start with say Max or Lightwave and then jump to Maya or did you just plough straight in?

I wish I had got my mits on Maya four years ago but then it was £6k so I went down the C4D and AM route... (cheapy) Not that I regret it I have learnt alot, but jumping around three 3D programs can sometimes be a pain in the ARSE user added image.

BTW IMO I think your creature looks great my only negative thought is that it has a boys face... surely a creature with bat-like wings, horns and nails-that-would-take-the-hide-off-a-rhino would have a butt-ugly face?

Only wondering... perhaps this is a new breed of creature to put good/evil traditionalists like me outta joint user added image
